March 23-30 2026 and first week of April Forecast

It’s been a great stretch of inshore and nearshore fishing thanks to warm weather and calm winds. The inshore bite has been strong along the flats and shorelines, with plenty of trout, bluefish, and jacks, plus some pompano and snook hitting artificial lures. The deeper grass flats are producing good numbers of trout, with pompano, ladyfish, and jacks mixed in to keep things active. We even caught a few Bonefish on the flats near the inlet.

Along the shorelines, snook, trout, and redfish have been holding where bait is present. Nearshore fishing has also been solid, with catches of pompano, jacks, and mackerel, and blacktip and spinner sharks cruising the beaches. The topwater action with the sharks has been especially exciting, though they’ll also take live or dead bait.

Looking ahead, conditions are expected to turn windy and rough this week, so focusing on inshore fishing will likely be the best option.
