Thing have been tough

So with these back-to-back cold fronts were lucky to get one maybe two days of fishing. The last two fronts this one that came in on January 30th has been the coldest the week before that was cold which has shocked the fish especially the Snook. If you see snook floating Belly Up do not mess with them that is their survival mechanism to gain Heat for sustainability but with 2 more nights in the 30s another cold front on Thursday the 5th there will be some fish kills with only 2 days of mid 60’s as highs will probably lose a few throughout Southwest Florida West Central up to Hernando. On a good note we’ve been getting big trout and three to seven feet of water free lineing select or jumbo shrimp with a split shot if you can get them due to they bairy up in the cold. If you can’t get live shrimp artificials have been working excellent a 16 oz black jig head with glow in the dark eyes with the mirror lure provoker has been slamming nice trout from 20 in biggest up to 27 in good numbers being the cold does not affect them as much as snuck and redfish. Also several other colors have been working good such as golden brim Houdini any darker or neutral dark and Light soft plastic has worked well. Hopefully this next front we will get a break and fishing should turn on and get more water in the area so fish can get up on the flats. Thanks Captain Craig
