So last week during beautiful weather trip had one of my regulars come down also name Craig and red fishing and trout were good. Started off redfishing with some talers and got a nice 34 inch on a zara pup in the red fish color topwater worked quite a few fish but was the one taker which was well worth it. Went and did some trout fishing using small grass grunts and pin fish underneath a Cajun Thunder and got about 6 that were up to 23 to 27in fish were averaging 18 to19in caughtaround13. Haven’t been inshore fishing, this is one of first trip since late November because were going out and catching hogfish 8mls NW and yes spanking them so was good to get back inside Clearwater Harbor in Northern end of St Joseph’s sound. Fishing is just going to get better Hogfish will still be in that 9 Mile range that were allowed to fish out to Spanish mackerel will pick up king mackerel Cobia and a variety of sharks Springtime is the best time if you are seasoned fisherman or beginner May is my favorite month for Sight fishing the three main species snook, reds trout possibly tarpon and sharks in Crystal Clear Water up north. Trips like that our best wet one two three Anglers. So get ready
