Another windy week last week, but the fishing was good for most of it. We caught some big trout and snook along with plenty of jacks and a few bluefish on artificials. Live bait worked well for the larger snook and trout, while artificials produced most of our jacks, redfish, trout, bluefish, and ladyfish. We’re seeing more bait show up each week, which should continue to improve the bite. The winds have been relentless lately and look like they’ll stay up through most of this week, but they’re expected to calm down by the weekend. That should let us get back out on the beach and focus on the tarpon fishing, which should be in full swing right now.
