From Gators to Gator trout

One of my favorite times of the year is finally here! The days are getting shorter, the water temperatures are dropping, and Fall is standing right on our doorstep — and the door is wide open!

The past month has been a busy one with scalloping trips, inshore trips chasing Reds and big Trout, and plenty of Alligator hunts. But as we head through October, things are really starting to change — and the inshore bite is getting ready to go OFF!

We’re already seeing a great topwater bite, the Redfish are starting to school up, and those big Gator Trout are moving shallow. Find the right hole and you can get into them one after another. This is the kind of fishing we wait all year for!

If you’ve been thinking about getting out on the water, now is the time to get your dates locked in. I only have a few days left in October, and November is filling up fast.

And then comes one of my favorite trips of the year — Airboat Negative Low Tide trips in December, January, and February. These are extremely limited trips, and about half of those days are already booked. I’ll post the remaining dates below.

The humidity will soon be gone, the temperatures will be perfect, and the fish are getting ready to cooperate. This is NOT the time of year to be sitting on the porch with the dog!

The best days are filling up, so let’s get on the water and go fishing!
