Capt. Glyn Austin has been fishing the waters of Florida’s East Coast since he was old enough to hoist a rod. What started as a childhood passion quickly became a lifelong calling. Before launching his full-time career as a professional fishing guide, Glyn spent 21 years in public media relations with Bombardier, the company behind the legendary Evinrude outboard motors. His role there allowed him to combine communication, innovation, and the boating industry—giving him a deep understanding of the equipment, technology, and performance behind every great day on the water.

During those years, Glyn also became heavily involved in competitive kingfishing. He fished both regional and national tournaments on the Southern Kingfish Association (SKA) Tour, earning multiple top finishes, including a standout victory at the 2009 Key West Harbour Tournament. His tournament experience sharpened his instinct for tracking fish, reading the water, and making lightning-fast decisions—skills he brings to every charter he runs today.

As life shifted and Glyn’s family grew, he felt a growing desire to share his passion for the outdoors with the next generation of anglers. That passion led him to become the managing organizer of Space Coast Reel Anglers, a youth organization devoted to teaching kids the fundamentals of fishing, sportsmanship, and marine conservation. Through this program, Glyn has helped countless young anglers learn to respect the water, protect the ecosystem, and develop a love for fishing that lasts a lifetime.

Today, Glyn’s passion is his full-time profession. As the owner and guide of Going Coastal Charters, he offers unforgettable fishing experiences along the iconic waters of Sebastian, Florida, and the surrounding coastline from Vero Beach to Port Canaveral. Whether guests are looking for a relaxed inshore fishing trip, a heart-pounding battle with a seasonal trophy during tarpon season, or expert instruction for families and beginners, Capt. Glyn delivers a safe, professional, and highly personalized day on the water.

Every trip reflects Glyn’s lifetime of expertise, deep respect for the local fishery, and genuine passion for helping others enjoy the thrill of catching fish. For him, it’s not just a charter—it’s an opportunity to share the waters he loves most.
