Another great week fishing the nearshore beaches and reefs. We had good action with tarpon, jacks, and cobia, with a few kingfish mixed in too. The nearshore reefs and wrecks were holding some hungry cobia. We hooked five in a short period before a bull shark grabbed one, and the bite shut down.
Schools of big jacks are still cruising the beaches. Some of the schools have been easy to spook, but others have been feeding well and giving us plenty of action. The forecast is looking good for another week on the water, chasing jacks, tarpon, and sharks while also hunting for more kingfish and cobia.
