"Didn’t know what to give our nephew (who is moving-up to 10th grade) & our daughter (who is moving-up to 7th grade). Then we thought, how about an Adventure and a Lifetime Memory? Who better than Captain Bucky to plan a Day on the water of beautiful Tampa Bay? From his sparkling white boat (that can really move & maneuver) to his attentive preparation, timeliness, & patience to make sure each of us had been well equipped to make our individual “catch of the day,” Captain Bucky ensured each of us (from child to adult alike) would go home with a unique story to tell! His knowledge of fishing and handling each type of fish safely for fish & fisher alike, as well as his determination to get us to the right spots to catch specific types of fish, was stellar! And when dark storm clouds began quickly looming in, Captain Bucky was sure to zip us off to safety back to dock without delay. He even provided an insert for our graduation cards for the kids to announce this great First-Time Experience! We definitely made some Fantastic catch & releases that day, enjoyed a perfect morning, beautiful FL scenery, a wonderful guide & superb boat ride… Captain Bucky did not disappoint! Would definitely recommend Bag'Em Tampa Bay Fishing Charters for an educational, environmentally conscious & fun experience with lifetime memories made! Thank You So Much Captain Bucky! 👏"

"Bucky is an awesome guide who really knows Tampa Bay and will put you on some fish. We had a really memorable fishing trip with him so much so that we plan to do it again. We caught numerous speckled trout, redfish and snook and some really nice 30-inch plus fish. Awesome day of fishing and a really nice boat which made the day all the more enjoyable."

"Captain Bucky was great. He was very patient with my son, who is on the spectrum. He was a very accommodating captain. The captain is excellent with kids, but also is great to shoot the breeze with the parents. I would highly recommend, and will be booking with him in the future."

"I recently had the pleasure of going on a fishing trip with a friend and Capt. Bucky! He was on time, with the boat ready to go. The boat was in top condition, clean, and comfortable, and we had everything we needed for a great day on the water. We caught a variety of fish. Capt. Bucky made sure we had the best chances to reel in some big red fish. And he was even so good as to put up with our terrible music selection and photo shoots. I’ll definitely be back for another trip!"

FAQs

Everything is included when booking with Bag’Em Fishing Charters. All tackle and gear is provided. Up to 4 anglers are covered under the Captain’s Fishing License. Plenty of iced cold bottled water will be available. All you have to do is dress accordingly. Hat, Sunglasses, rain jackets if needed, sunscreen, and what ever you want to eat or drink. Alcohol is permitted, but no glass bottles, and please drink responsibly. The Captain has the right to terminated any charter if the passenger(s) are no long fit to be on the water and are causing a hazard to their or anyone elses well being on the boat.

Do not bring oversized coolers. A cooler is already provided and additional coolers can take up well needed space and make it hard for passengers to get around the boat. Do not bring an over abundance of carry-ons as storage space can be limited at times. Do not wear dark soled shoes as they tend to leave marks on the deck. You do not need to bring your own gear as all of it is provided. Please inform the Captain if you wish to bring your favorite rod, so he can deem if it is suitable for the type of fishing we will be doing for the day. Do not bring unrealistic expectations. Fishing is fishing and some days can be harder than most. Unrealistic expectations can put a lot of pressure on the Captain. Fish always bite better for those just trying to enjoy themselves. Remember fishing is fun and should always remain that way despite how the bite is, but Capt Bucky will work hard throughout the entire charter to make sure you have an unforgettable experience.

We are in the service and entertainment industry! if you had a great time and feel that your Captain worked hard to give you an amazing and unforgettable experience then feel free to tip. Typically clients tip from the 10-20% range. It goes a long way after expenses. What you don’t see is our time leading up to your charter and time after. Gas money for both truck and boat, tackle expenses, price of insurance, as well as other costs of living. While tipping is not necessary it is always greatly appreciated.

No. My boat does not have a T-top and therefore no shade. I do have a rapid switch shade system that I can bring, but that would only be for hanging at the sandbar days. Typical Charters are early morning to mid afternoon. We try to get on and off the water before it gets too hot.

Prior to the trip, a $100 deposit is required to hold the day for you. Cash is always nice, but I do take other forms of payment. Typically, I like to use Zelle or Venmo. I can accept all major credit cards as well, but there are fees involved.

Yes, however I strongly condone catch and release and I will only allow you to take what you can eat that night. If you’re looking to fill your freezer you are asking the wrong Captain. Conservation is key to sustain our fishery and I can’t stress enough how much more important Redfish, Snook, and Trout are in the water than on your plate. There are other table fare fish to target through out the year, like snapper and sheepshead as well as triple tail and cobia. I will gladly filet the fish for you after the charter.

The two main boat ramps that I use are the Courtney Campbell Causeway Boat Ramp and the Gandy Blvd Boat Ramp. Both are easy to drive to. Upon booking I will send out a Google maps link to the desired boat ramp given the time of year and weather permitting. I will also discuss with yo on the phone how to get there and when to show up.

No, there are no parking fees. Most boat ramps have kiosks to pay, but that is for trailer parking. However, do not park in an area designated for trailer as you can get ticketed for it. There should be plenty of parking on any given day.

I only run morning trips and sometimes mid-morning to early afternoons. I am Mr. Mom and have a lot of responsibilities, especially during the school year. Family always comes first, and does not allow me to run later in the afternoon and early evenings.

Absolutely! As a family man myself, I always enjoy taking kids fishing. I will take time to teach them anything they want to know. How to cast, work artificial, bait hooks and I often go over fish biology. Fishing should be educational as well as fun! Kids are such a joy to have on board and depending on the age, I can modify charters to their skill level. Younger kids often don’t care what they are catching as long as there is plenty of action. I know plenty of ways to keep the engaged and entertained.

Yes, but please give me plenty enough time to find other available Captains that I know and trust to put in the work and give you a first class experience.
